WKMG-TV wins big at Florida Association of Broadcast Journalist Awards

WKMG-TV is the winner of seventeen Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists (FAB) Awards, and WKMG-TV anchor Erik Von Ancken is the winner of an individual achievement award. More than 55 radio and television stations submitted more than 650 entries in this contest, featuring content produced in 2022.

WKMG-TV won nine awards in the following categories of the Television I/Large Market competition: Television Newscast - Evening, Television Newscast - Morning/Midday, Breaking News - Individual, Politics/Government -Single, Politics/Government -Series/Program, Feature - Hard, Consumer/Economic, Transportation Reporting, and Health Reporting - Single. WKMG-TV anchor Erik Von Ancken won an individual achievement award for Anchor.

WKMG-TV also won eight awards in the Television II/Medium Market competition in the following categories: Television Newscast - Evening, Television Newscast - Morning/Midday, Investigative: Series, Politics/Government: Series Program, Politics/Government: Station, Series/Franchise: Hard, Feature: Hard, and Education Reporting. WKMG-TV also was a finalist in eleven other categories.
