Autumn Jones was named Vice President / General Manager & News Director of WKMG News 6 in August 2025. A dynamic and Emmy Award-winning journalist, Autumn brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in broadcast news, strategic communications, and community engagement.
She joined WKMG in April 2025 as News Director, where she quickly deployed a differentiated, hyper-local news brand, expanded streaming programming, and introduced innovative storytelling techniques that enhanced multi-platform reach. Her vision and results-driven leadership earned her a swift promotion to lead the station's next era of growth.
Prior to WKMG, Autumn served as Station Manager and News Director at WFTX-TV FOX 4 in Fort Myers-Naples. There, she delivered the station's highest-ever margins, reduced turnover, and built a unique hyper-local journalism brand while securing FOX 4's first in-market sports rights deal. Earlier, she spent nearly 15 years at WFTV-TV in Orlando, where she led multiple Emmy-winning newscasts and played a key role in market-dominant ratings.
Autumn also served as Media Relations Director for the Orlando Police Department, where she managed critical crisis communications during the pandemic and 2020 protests. Her work was recognized for strengthening community trust while driving exceptional growth across the department's social platforms.
Her career has been defined by innovation, resilience, and a deep commitment to authentic storytelling that serves the community.
