Vice President & Chief Technology Officer
Michael (Mike) Englehaupt joined GMG as Vice President & Chief Technology Officer on June 1, 2015. In his role, he is responsible for leading the IT & Engineering strategy as the organization continues to evolve into a more digitally-centric, IP and IT-based media company.
Before joining GMG, Englehaupt served as the Chief Technology Officer for KQED in San Francisco since 2013, overseeing all technology planning and strategy for their 3 UHF TV stations, and 2 FM radio stations, as well as their web and mobile sites. Previously, he served the Director of Broadcast Operations & Engineering with KPIX-TV in San Francisco from 2003 - 2013, and with KABC-TV in Los Angeles from 1999 - 2003. Prior engineering assignments include WLS-TV, Telemundo and WMAQ-TV, all in Chicago. Englehaupt has led facility rebuilds, renovations and improvements, managed IT expansions and driven energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives throughout his long career.
