Julie Dreixler

Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer

Julie Dreixler is the Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer for Graham Media Group. In her role, she oversees all aspects of recruiting, training and development, employee relations, compensation, and benefits for GMG. She works closely with GMG management in creating HR strategy to identify, grow and develop GMG employees. She has held this position since March 2014 and currently works fully remote out of Chicago, IL.

Dreixler has extensive human resources experience in fast-paced Fortune 100 companies, having worked in a variety of progressive leadership roles with Cardinal Health, Citibank, Sara Lee and GE Capital. Prior to joining GMG, Dreixler was SVP/CHRO for Ventas, a leading health care REIT in Chicago for six years where she helped grow Ventas from a staff of 50 to one that is now more than 475 employees spread across 46 states.

Dreixler is active in the Chicago community, serving as Vice Chair on the Board for Envision Unlimited, a nonprofit human services provider for people with intellectual & developmental disabilities and mental health needs. She also serves on the Augustana College Alumni Board as Vice President, where she is heavily involved with the career development committee and is a Viking Connector. She is a member of the Executive Club of Chicago (previously Human Resources Management Association of Chicago) and the Girl Scouts USA. Additionally, Dreixler serves on the Emma Bowen Foundation Board, which prepares students of color for careers in media. She earned her B.A. in Public Administration, Political Science and German from Augustana College in Illinois and an M.S. in Industrial Relations from Loyola University Chicago.
